Our Story
A Vision Brought to Life in the Heart of Vienna
C&G Country Club wasn’t just founded—it was crafted through a friendship full of fun, creativity, and, of course, golf. Back in 2018, Cole and Gavin met as freshmen at Virginia Tech, just a few doors down from each other in Pritchard Hall. What started as casual dorm chats quickly turned into a fast friendship fueled by a shared love of golf and a knack for turning creative ideas into reality. After graduating, life pulled them in different directions. Cole went back to his hometown in Vienna, VA, while Gavin headed to Charlotte for a new job and a fresh start. But the distance couldn’t keep them apart. Gavin made regular trips to visit Cole, and during one of those trips, something epic happened. In Cole’s backyard, they created their very own “country club” using nothing but a few rusty clubs, some whiffle ball golf balls, and their wild imaginations. They designed 18 one-of-a-kind holes—think trees, trash bins, and fences as targets. The course was packed with hazards, out-of-bounds areas, and plenty of friendly competition. Hours of laughter and fun later, an idea sparked: Why not turn this crazy, creative golf experience into something real? And that’s exactly what they did. The 13th hole became the heart and soul of their backyard course—a unique challenge where players teed off from a rustic wooden structure that was as wild as the game itself. It wasn’t just a hole; it was the embodiment of everything they wanted C&G to represent. Today, that structure has evolved into the club’s iconic logo, with each curve of the obelisk symbolizing the club’s core values: Integrity, Humility, Camaraderie, Competition, and Faith—each one as solid and enduring as the legacy they’re building. What started as a backyard experiment quickly turned into a vision for a real country club—a place where friends could reconnect, create, compete, and have a blast together. And that’s how C&G Country Club came to life—a place that blends creativity, passion, and a love for the game, all while keeping things fun, fresh, and full of energy.
